Black and white and color perception

All my designs start in Black and White. I have a large collection of them just in black and white waiting to received color. Posting the question of black and white or color to an audience has brought many comments and ideas.

Is the design strong enough to hold without color?

Is the design communicating a message without color?

Will color enhance the experience of the viewer?

Will color engage the viewer or maybe they only need the black and white version?

The experiment continues.
